Network Connections

Connecting to an ALANO Network

The process for connecting to an Alano Wastewater Network in your area is as follows, and may be managed by the landowner or a builder or plumbing on their behalf.

  1. Download, complete and return the Network Connection Application along with the documentation noted in the application. This needs to be emailed to admin@alano.com.au.

  2. Alano will issue an invoice for payment. Please email proof of payment to admin@alano.com.au.

  3. Alano will review and approve the connection documentation, and send this approval to you (or your builder/plumber) via email.

  4. The Builder/Plumber will need to arrange a connection inspection once they have completed the connection but before the connection point is covered by soil/fill. Inspections can be requested by the form below, or by emailing admin@alano.com.au.

  5. Once inspected, Alano will email you a certification document for your records.

Please note that connecting to an Alano Wastewater Network without authorisation may result in significant penalties under the Water Industry Act SA (2012) - we do however prefer to work with landowners to achieve certification where they pro-actively make contact with us to check their property’s record of authorisation. If you would like to check if your connection is authorised, please complete the following form. Alano does offer ‘conditional’ retrospective inspections where we carry out a visual surface inspection, record access to and confirmed location of required inspection points (IP’s) and advise of any visible defects requiring rectification to meet wastewater regulations. As we are unable to view the actual inspection point underground, we note this on the approval certification for consideration should any emergency maintenance be required in the future, allowing our field staff to be better prepared to help in an emergency.
